WOW, what a day. That place was packed. I could'nt believe how many people were in the grandstands !!! There was'nt even standing room in the stands, and the stands went half way down the track on both sides. ;) Pics to follow I'm sure when uncle Dave and Dennis wakes up sometime later today. After 3 hours sleep, we were up for 26 hours.
GOOD NIGHT !!!

Wow! You guys have to be beat. What a great response from the crowd. The guys drove the wheels off the cars and impressed everybody.Holly and I couldn't find a place to sit to watch the show it was so packed. The crowd went nuts for the show.I wish the Grove had the desire to put on a show like that. What a money maker for that track and a bargain for the fan.We have the greatest group of racers and I'm proud to be a part of it.The Mafia is family and hopefully next year all of the cars will be able to experience this event. You guys should see this place hook!!!!:scared Hope things went well at the Grove for everyone. Thanks to Copo Nader and the Northside Mob for representing at GLD.I'm sure you guys pleased the crowd as much as the Cordova crowd was.I haven't posted much since working out of town. I'm totally impressed that everyone is still on the same page.Running fast,Having fun, hanging together and putting on a great show. The group is making strides in leaps and bounds and it's great to see it all happening for everyone.See ya next weekend at the grove.

Sounds like everyone had fun at Cordova too. I hope so anyhow. I think the main reason this group works is because of a couple things. 1 Most of those in this group are fans more so than they are racers. 2. We just want to have FUN racing our cars.

dennis.......wake up!
LMAO,:D He's phuckin WIPED !!! We did one of those 5 hour energy drinks while we were fueling last night before we hit the highway. Mine kicked in, but Dennis's seemed like it never did. He would'nt let me drive, so I just kept talking to him all the way home. Ken & Cindy left with us as did Nick towing Nilla's camaro. No traffic at 3 am in the morning. ;)
Like Propony said, the crowd loved our show. When I was trackside with the rest of the photographers and cameramen, I could'nt believe my eyes on how PACKED the stands were. I took a video of the stands up and down both sides cause I figured nobody would believe it, I know that I could've never imagined how many people were at this event. Holy phickin cow batman !!! The place was STUFFED with spectators.
Just FYI, after our first round when I was walking back towards the starting line to go behind the burnout box, I had one of the track photographers come up to me and shake my hand and say " GREAT show your group put on here dude, these cars are awsume !!!" Then as I was walking past the startingline, one of the track officials came up to me and took off his headset and shook my hand, introduced himself to me as the head startingline official, and said "WOW !!! we are extremely impressed with your group, you guys stole the show !!! can't wait till you're up again !!!" While we were waiting for the funnycars to fireup, I told him a little about our group. He could'nt praise our group enough.
After the first round, Ron Colson came personally to our trailer to thank Dennis and the whole group for the performance we put on. He too, could'nt express himself enough about what a superb professional performance EVERYONE showed on the track. He and the rest of the management, seen the way the crowds reacted to our cars wheelstanding, (standing up, whistling, cheering and applauding), he said that he needs to have us back again. I'll bet after we ran that first round, we had dozens of people swarming our trailers praising the show we put on. Ya know, the same ol' line, WOW dude !!! you guys really rocked the show, and Maannnnnn, we love these cars, I could watch you guys all day long, and "how come they held you guys back to the end of the show ??" Are you guys gonna run again ???
Dozens and dozens of people came to view our cars. I think alot of us felt like some kind of celeberty or something. ;)

I knew you guys would like the place,I've been hounding Scott to get you guys in all year. I wish I could have made it,but I was attending my grandaughters birthday. Scotts other track Eddyville is almost as nice also except its 1/8th mile.Mr.Gardner runs a great show and his tracks are spotless and He truly appreciates the racers!!! I'm glad it worked out good for you guys.

Those seats were almost covered with something else after that first wheelstand almost landed me on top of the wall.I spent all day pulling the oil pan and beating it within an inch of its life back into shape.Right now it looks like that was the only damage. If I find anything else, the 815 is going in.Here that Steve?

Was the pickup the problem?

Was the pickup the problem?
When I finially got the pan off, there it was,the swing pickup was jammed into the bottom of the pan, keeping it from moving and letting very liittle oil into the sump.
