ok guys seeming how i dont know about these bigger motors and the 18* heads i have a question. 632/pontiac 427 head 1.7 rockers/ tunnel ram with two 1180's(borowed) the cam bullet told me was 288/310 at .050 and 850/800 lift minus lash. that seems like a lot . will it be hard on valve springs,valve guides, rockers. and the rpm range????. what should i spin it to. i need advice. thanks . 3500 pounds/4.30 gear/ t-400 4000stall thanks fellas

I have my cam specs at the shop I'll get them for you tommorow.

ok thanks steve ...... and yes pat thats what they told me. i have a 276/292 at 50 aith 725 714 lift in the old motor last year on a 113.5 l/c. i thiught of putting that in but i dont think it will work so well.

I built a 632 with 18* heads with a single 4 and I bought a cam from LSM and I was huge. Cant remmeber the exact number but it was 900 lift. Try them and see what he says just for fun.....I know it made 1097hp so not too bad for a single 4.
I can get the cam specs if u want.

These are the specs for my new (smaller) cam.
282/300 at .050 and 918/884-----115 lobe center 1.7 rockers
3450 lbs 5.38 gear 33x16.5/15----shift at 7800 trap 8200:D
I have not run this cam yet so? This is for HP.
My Nitrous cam was284/304 and938/901----114lobe center.
14 degree big chiefs.
Don't tell Don these top secret specs us chevy guys gotta stick together.LOL

steve will do . the next couple days are hectic. . one motor blew up monday.urghhhhhhhh.17,000 hours and it decides to expire when its snowing. ok thanks for the info.
